Required Prescriber Information for NMS

This section is applicable to Ontario pharmacies only.

The appropriate Prescriber Type and License # must be entered in the Prescriber Folder to submit an NMS transaction.

You can quickly navigate to the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSO) website to search for a doctor by selecting the magnifying glass beside the License # field.

Out of Province Prescribers

When the prescriber is registered outside of Ontario:

  • The Prescriber Type must be set to Carrier Designated out of Province ID.

  • The License # must be set in the Prescriber Folder using a standardized number for the licensing province.
